OWLS IN REVIEW The Owls are fresh off a three-game sweep of Maine over the weekend. Sandwiched between a 15-2 win on Friday and a 10-0 victory on Sunday, the Owls rallied for a 6-4 middle game win on Saturday. FAU trailed 4-0 entering the bottom of the ninth before reeling off four straight singles, a bases loaded hit by pitch, and a walk-off grand slam off the bat of Christian Adams. WHO’S HOT On Monday, Adams was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season. The senior second baseman went 6-for-12 in the Maine series with seven RBI. Since moving to the third spot in the Owls’ order, Adams is 9-for-24 with 11 runs scored and the Owls are 6-1.Steven Andrews and Danny Trehey have been two key pieces for the Owls’ bullpen. Andrews has held opponents to four hits and one earned run in his last five appearances (9.2 innings). Trehey has a 0.00 ERA in 14.1 innings. He’s second on the team in strikeouts (20). THE OPPONENT UCF took two of three from Oklahoma State in Big 12 play over the weekend. The Knights are led offensively by outfielder Matt Prevesk with a .371 average and 26 hits. OPPONENT HISTORY UCF won the first meeting of the season series 11-6 on February 27. The Knights lead the all-time series 48-41.
