BASE | Adams Earns a Third Nod to AAC Honor Roll

BOCA RATON, Fla. – For the third time this season, Florida Atlantic senior second baseman Christian Adams has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll. This is Florida Atlantic baseball’s eight weekly conference award this season:

AAC Pitcher of the Week: C.J. Williams (April 22)
AAC Weekly Honor Roll: Christian Adams (February 26, March 18, April 29), John Schroeder (March 11, April 15), Emilio Gonzalez (April 1), Tyler Murphy (March 11).

Adams was instrumental in the Owls’ series win over USF over the weekend. His two-run homer in the sixth inning on Friday tied the game at the time and the Owls would go on to win 3-2. He homered again in the first inning on Saturday and then went 2-for-5 with two runs scored in the series finale on Sunday.

The Royal Palm Beach native finished the four-game week hitting .375 (6-for-16) with six RBI and four runs scored. For the season, he leads the Owls with a .314 average and is tied for the team lead with eight home runs.

Florida Atlantic baseball completes a five-game road stretch on Tuesday at Florida. The Owls return home to host UAB for a weekend series beginning Friday.
