BALTIMORE RAVENS AT MIAMI DOLPHINS HARD ROCK STADIUM SEPT. 8, 2019 1 PM POSTGAME NOTES

RYAN FITZPATRICK MAKES DOLPHINS DEBUT
• QB Ryan Fitzpatrick made his first start with the Dolphins this afternoon. Miami is the eighth team Fitzpatrick has started for, which is the most by a starting QB in NFL history. Fitzpatrick also made starts for St. Louis (2005), Cincinnati (2008), Buffalo (2009-12), Tennessee (2013), Houston (2014), the N.Y. Jets (2015-16) and Tampa Bay (2017-18).
• Fitzpatrick became the first player in NFL history to throw a touchdown pass for eight different teams after his 6-yard touchdown pass to WR Preston Williams in the second quarter.

SANDERS SCORES DOLPHINS FIRST POINTS OF 2019 WITH CAREER LONG
• K Jason Sanders scored Miami’s first points of the season in the second quarter when he kicked a 54-yard field goal. It was the longest field goal of Sanders’ career.
• As a rookie in 2018, Sanders converted 18-of-20 (90.0 pct.) field goal opportunities with 10 of those attempts coming from 40-plus yards. He earned NFL All-Rookie team honors and his 90.0 field goal percentage last year was fifth-best in team history.

WILLIAMS CATCHES TD IN HIS FIRST NFL GAME
• WR Preston Williams posted a lot of first todays – his first NFL game, first NFL start, first NFL reception and first NFL touchdown. Williams caught a 6-yard TD pass with 13 seconds remaining in the first half for the Dolphins’ first touchdown of the season.
• Williams joined the Dolphins as an undrafted college free agent on May 9, 2019. His touchdown today makes him the second undrafted rookie in team history to score in a season opener. He joins WR Andre Brown, who caught an 8-yard pass from QB Dan Marino on Sept. 10, 1989 vs. Buffalo.
• The last undrafted NFL wide receiver to score in a season opener as a rookie was Pittsburgh WR Eli Rogers, who caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from QB Ben Roethlisberger on Sept. 12, 2016.
