Marlins All-Star Luis Arraez and World Series Champion Charles Johnson visit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and deliver Totes for Hope comfort bags to children undergoing treatment
Hollywood, Florida (October 13, 2023) – AutoNation recently teamed up with Miami Marlins to deliver Totes for Hope comfort bags to children undergoing treatment at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. During the visit, Miami Marlins presented a $37,000 check to support AutoNation’s year-round Drive Pink (DRV PNK) campaign to end cancer.
The specially designed Totes for Hope filled with comfort items were delivered by AutoNation’s Chief Marketing Officer Richard Lennox, Miami Marlins All-Star Luis Arraez, World Series Champion and former Miami Marlins player Charles Johnson, and Miami Marlins Chief Commercial Officer David Oxfeld.

The specially designed Totes for Hope filled with comfort items were delivered by Inter Miami goalkeeper Drake Callender and midfielder Franco Negri. Also in attendance were Lisa Esparza, AutoNation Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer, Inter Miami CF Vice President of Partnerships Nicolò Zini and Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute surgical breast oncologists Dr. Gladys Giron and Dr. Cristina Lopez-Penalver.

Players visit Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and deliver Totes for Hope comfort bags to children, adults undergoing treatment
Miami, Florida (October 25, 2023) – AutoNation, America’s most admired automotive retailer, recently teamed up with UM Football and the Miami Dolphins to deliver Totes for Hope comfort to children and adults undergoing cancer treatment as part of AutoNation’s annual Drive Pink (DRV PNK) campaign, which has raised and donated more than $35 million to support cancer research and treatment.
The specially designed Totes for Hope filled with comfort items were delivered by Miami Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson to Alex’s Place at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dolphins Cancer Challenge Executive Director Javier Sanchez,
AutoNation South Florida Market President Benny Dominguez and Alex’s Place at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center Dr. Julio Barredo were also in attendance.
Later that day, UM Football running back Don Chaney, defensive lineman Jahfari Harvey, defensive back Jaden Davis, safety James Williams and safety Kam Kinchens, joined by Dr. Ingrid Barrera, delivered comfort items to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
