Athletics Announces Uplift the Bulls Campaign to Support Student-Athletes

Fundraising campaign launched in conjunction with the University-wide #BullsUnited in Action campaign

TAMPA, JUNE 10, 2020 – In an effort to support student-athlete opportunities and provide resources critical for their success, USF Athletics has launched the Uplift the Bulls fundraising campaign.

The Athletics campaign, which aims to raise funds for student-athlete welfare and scholarships, is being launched in conjunction with the University’s month-long giving initiative #BullsUnited in Action that will highlight projects across the USF campus and run during June.

All gifts to Uplift the Bulls will be recognized as part of each donor’s 2020-21 Bulls Club membership benefits. Donations from $10 to $250 or more can be made online through the USF Foundation at USF.to/UpliftBulls. Donors can amplify their impact by sharing their support of the campaign using the social media tools at the top of the donation page.

“The impact of the pandemic has touched us all, from individuals to organizations,” Vice President of Athletics Michael Kelly said. “In the last few months, USF Athletics has come to realize a number of challenges to the sustainability of intercollegiate athletics as we know it. I continue to be very optimistic about the future and, particularly, where USF Athletics is going, because of the tremendous student-athletes, coaches, staff, and supporters we have in Bulls Nation. Our student-athletes need your support now more than ever. With your help, we can lift each of our student-athletes back up through these tough times and propel them forward in the classroom, in the community and back in competition.”

Donations to Uplift the Bulls will support more than 450 USF student-athletes. Questions concerning the Uplift the Bulls effort can be directed to Stephen Hammond in the Bulls Club at shammond1@usf.edu or by phone at (561) 414-9628.

“Our team is so thankful for all of the amazing donors who have supported the Bulls Club over the years,” Deputy Director of Athletics Lelo Prado said. “We hope this effort to Uplift the Bulls will provide even more Bulls fans the opportunity to be a member of the Bulls Club and see the tremendous impact these gifts have on our student-athletes.”
