Are you always LAST on you “to-do” list?

“ME” Monday® 4-20-2020

Are you so busy taking care of everyone at work and at home that you are always LAST on your “to-do” list?

Have you ever felt like you don’t matter enough?

Have you ever imagined how great it would feel ALL the time if you took care of yourself before you take care of everyone else?

During these uncertain times, it can be even easier to fall to the bottom of your “to-do” list but self-care and responsibility are incredibly imperative now even more.

A few other words reflecting the word ‘self’ are personality, character, person, and identity

Would you ever consider concealing or ignoring your personality, your character or the person you are? If not, you are secreting your identity when self-responsibility and care are not a priority.

For years, I was at the bottom of my “to-do” list. Personally, being ‘me’ came last after putting everyone else first all the time. No one could see all the struggle or stress I had felt. It felt like I was invisible, frustrated, and exhausted. Even though I had excelled in every profession I worked in, had loads of friends, and was loved by all, I never felt accomplished or valued. The stress caused physical concerns that had no easy medical diagnosis and weight management was difficult too. The truth is it really “sucked” always being last on the list and I felt like I just didn’t matter!

Though we are now imposed upon with physical distancing, what self-care can you implement that you may or may not have been doing before?

What additional things can you start doing for yourself and for your others in your home?

How can you increase your social connections to improve upon how you connected with others before?

We have opportunities that we never took advantage of before. Instead of asking, why me, ask why NOT me?

Don’t be last on your “to-do” list! Put yourself first and watch everything else work out!

If you are not sure what that may mean for you, send me a private message. You are never alone.

Don’t waste another moment; it’s “ME” Monday®! Plan something especially for you, no matter how big or how small.

Have a powerful week!

Be safe. Be healthy. Be self-responsible. Be POWERFUL!

This is your now!
