BOCA RATON – Thanks to generous support from its donors and supporters, the Florida Atlantic University athletic department put together another highly-successful year of fundraising.
In fiscal year 2020-21, overall giving increased to 147 percent of the previous year’s total. Overall giving to FAU Athletics was just over $6 million last year. In addition, the We Believe In Paradise campaign generated a 25 percent increase in Paradise Club participation over the previous year.
“We are incredibly grateful for the amazing generosity and support of our donors,” said Brian White, Vice President and Director of Athletics. “Philanthropic donations greatly enhance the experience of our student-athletes and allow us to continue improving as we strive to reach our very ambitious goals. The generosity of our donors helps provide a first-class experience for our student-athletes. We cannot thank them enough for their support.”
Generous supporters of FAU Athletics have committed to 17 six- or seven-figure gifts in the past three years, the most in any three-year span in the prior history of FAU Athletics.
The mission of The Paradise Club is to strengthen FAU’s athletic programs by encouraging private giving to support the athletic department’s mission. By becoming a contributor, or by maintaining contributions in support of the Paradise Club, our donors help support one of the most vibrant and growing brands in college athletics. Contributions made to the Paradise Club provide the financial framework that makes our mission possible through scholarships, support services and facilities. Donations provide life-changing experiences for FAU’s nearly 500 student-athletes.
