ROADRUNNERS CLAIM OUTRIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
The UTSA Roadrunners are the outright champions of The American Athletic Conference following their 60-42 win over Florida Atlantic. The win captured the No. 1 seed in the upcoming American Basketball Championship, while also setting a new single-season win record with 25 wins. The Roadrunners head into the final game of the season with a 16-1 conference record – tied for the second most conference wins in a season.
TULANE VS SOUTH FLORIDA RESCHEDULED
The American Athletic Conference women’s basketball game between Tulane and South Florida, originally scheduled for January 22, has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. ET in New Orleans.
SEEDS UP FOR GRABS
The final play date for all but two teams will be Tuesday night as all, but three seeds in The American Basketball Championships are still available. UTSA has clinched the No. 1 seed, Temple has clinched the No. 4 seed and Florida Atlantic will be one of two teams playing at the Super Pit in Denton, Texas in the opening round as the No. 13 seed.
TOURNAMENT SET TO BEGIN MARCH 8
The American Athletic Conference Basketball Championship is set to begin on Saturday, March 8 with the first round game being played at the Super Pit in Denton, Texas. From there the final rounds will be played at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The championship game is set for Wednesday, March 12 at 7 p.m. ET and will air on ESPNU.

Three teams rank in the top 100 of the NCAA NET rankings. UTSA is the leader at 69, followed by South Florida (73) and Temple (95).
