Memphis moved up three spots to No. 10 in the AP Top 25, and is up to No. 12 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Florida Atlantic is No. 23 in the AP Poll and is receiving votes in the coaches poll.

Memphis’ 112-86 win over Wichita State on January 14 featured multiple conference records:

In addition, the Tigers shot 64.7 percent from the field (44-68), which was tied for the fourth-best single game percentage in conference history.

CRANKING UP THE DEFENSE

North Texas ranks fourth in the country in scoring defense at 58.4 points per game allowed, while SMU is ranked eighth at 61.8 ppg allowed. In field goal percentage defense, the Mustangs are second (36.7 percent) and the Mean Green are fifth (37.8 percent). SMU is first in 3-point field goal percentage defense, at 25.6 percent.

OFFENSIVE EFFICIENCY

Vladislav Goldin of Florida Atlantic is shooting 71.9 percent from the field, which ranks first in the nation with five or more field goals made per game. Tulane ranks eighth in the nation as a team, shooting 50.4 percent from the field. The Green Wave are also fifth in the country in scoring at 87.2 points per game.

PRYOR PROPELLS BULLS

Kasean Pryor led South Florida to a come-from-behind victory over Rice on January 12 with a 29-point, 5-steal, 5-block performance, including 27 points in the second half. According to Sports-Reference.com, Pryor is the only player in the country with at least 25-points, five steals and five blocks in a single game since at least the 2010-11 season.
