The American Athletic Conference has two of the 10 remaining unbeaten FBS teams. The only conferences with multiple unbeaten teams are The American (Army, Navy), the ACC (Miami, Pitt), the Big 12 (BYU, Iowa State) and the Big Ten (Indiana, Oregon, Penn State).
- All seven home teams won their American Athletic Conference games Saturday.
- Army extended its winning streak to 11 games with Saturday’s 45-20 victory against East Carolina. The Black Knights have the nation’s longest active winning streak.
- Army is the only FBS team that has scored a touchdown on its opening drive in every game this season.
- Army has not trailed in a game this season. The Black Knights and Indiana are the only teams that have not played from behind at any point in 2024.
- Army has scored at least 40 points in four consecutive games for the first time since 1945.
- Army QB Bryson Daily accounted for six touchdowns against East Carolina (five rushing, one passing), becoming the first Black Knight player with a six-touchdown day since Elmer Oliphant in 1916.
- Daily set Army’s single-season record for rushing touchdowns (19) only seven games into the 2024 season.
- Army has committed one turnover in seven games.
- Navy is 6-0 for the first time since 1979.
- Navy CB Dashaun Peele became the second player in American Athletic Conference history with two interception returns for touchdowns in a game. The other was Horace Richardson of SMU against East Carolina Nov. 12, 2016. Peele is the first Navy player with two pick-sixes in program history.
- Navy went 5-for-5 in the red zone against Charlotte and improved to 23-for-23 in red zone scoring in 2024 (22 touchdowns, one field goal).
- Navy has won 72 consecutive games at home when leading after three quarters, the nation’s longest active streak.
- Memphis registered its 34th consecutive game with at least 20 points, the longest active streak nationally.
- Memphis is bowl eligible for the 11th consecutive season.
- Tulane won its 13th consecutive American Athletic Conference regular-season game, the longest active conference winning streak nationally and the third-longest streak in AAC history, trailing only UCF’s 17-game streak from 2017-19 and Cincinnati’s 17-game streak from 2020-22.
- Tulane has seven non-offensive touchdowns and five defensive touchdowns, leading the nation in both categories.
