IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly golf honors, for the competition week ending March 19.
Men’s Golf Player of the Week
Blake Lorenz, Sr. – Wichita State
Lorenz had a podium finish at the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate in Springfield, Mo., finishing tied for third and just one stroke behind the leader. He shot six-under 207, finishing with back-to-back rounds of under-par to lead the Shockers to a second-place team finish.
Women’s Golf Player of the Week
Melanie Green, Sr. – South Florida
In a stacked field that featured 12 ranked teams, Green finished in first place at the Mountain View Collegiate. Her 11-under 205 led her to an individual gold medal over five Clippd Top 100 ranked golfers, including the top ranked golfer in the nation. As the overall leader, Green helped guide the Bulls to a first-place team finish.
