IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly golf honors, for the competition week ending Tuesday, February 27.
Women’s Golf Player of the Week
Melanie Green, Sr. – South Florida
Green shot an 11-under 205 at the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Arizona. She led the Bulls to a series of program records, including a low round of 271 (-17) on Monday and a low 54-hole total of 836 (-28), while matching the program record for 36-hole score (565). In a field that featured 12 programs ranked in the Top 100, Green shot under-par in all three rounds, including a low eight under-64 in the final round with six birdies and an eagle.
