BIRMINGHAM – The American Athletic Conference has released its 2023-24 women’s basketball schedule. Each team will play 18 total games – nine at home and nine on the road. UAB will have five home-and-home series and play the additional eight teams one time. Of the 14 teams, seven participated in the postseason last season.
“We are very excited to be a part of the American Athletic Conference,” said head coach Randy Norton. “There will be no easy games and our team will have to be ready to give its best every night out.”
The Blazers’ inaugural AAC contest is Dec. 30 at Florida Atlantic. Their first AAC home game is Jan. 3 against Memphis.
UAB travels to Charlotte Jan. 7 and East Carolina Jan. 10 before returning home to host SMU Jan. 14 and UTSA Jan. 21.
The squad will make its first-ever trip to Wichita State Jan. 25 prior to North Texas Jan. 28. FAU and USF come to Birmingham Feb. 7 and Feb. 11, respectively.
The next road trip begins Feb. 7 at Tulane and continues Feb. 11 to UTSA. The Blazers come back to Bartow Feb. 14 to play Temple followed by Rice Feb. 17.
For the first time in 10 years, the Blazers will travel to Tulsa Feb. 21. They come home Feb. 24 to face North Texas. The last road contest is March 2 at Memphis and the regular season finale is March 5 against Wichita State.
All games will stream on ESPN+.

- East Carolina and USF played in the NCAA Tournament last season
- Memphis, Rice, SMU, Tulane and Wichita State played in the WNIT last season
- Temple is a first-time opponent
- In addition to Tulsa, UAB is playing East Carolina for the first time since 2013-14

Women’s basketball season tickets are available for $65 by purchasing the 2023-24 Gold Card. The Gold Card will allow you to gain access to all home events for Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Softball, and Baseball (Regions Field & Young Memorial).
