NFL players safety hypocrisy

By Steven Rychel

Over the years, we’ve seen the NFL take all kinds of methods to ensure player safety, whether it be changing rules or better equipment. They have changed concussion protocols and Introduced the Guardian Caps. But at this year’s off-season owner’s meetings, we saw it’s hypocrisy as the kickoff rules changed again to entice teams to not kick the ball out the back of the end zone by moving touchbacks to the thirty-five-yard line.

The kick-off has stats that it’s one of the most dangerous plays in the league which is why we have seen so many changes with it over the last few years.

As well as we saw both the Green Bay Packers and the Buffalo Bills site player safety and pace of game as reasoning to attempt to ban the Philadelphia Eagles short yardage tush push play.

Whereas this play is concerned there’s zero stats to back up any type of players safety issues or pace as far as the offense is concerned that has been strictly on the Defense up to this point

It just seems like it’s sour grapes that no one has been able to stop Philadelphia’s Near automatic play and has nothing to do with pace or player safety.

The Vote was split and was tabled for May but if it does become banned, it would just absolutely prove the NFL players safety hypocrisy as we’ll be back to having players running at full speed at each other where there is a greater chance of injury instead of strength skills and footwork winning out.
