INDIANAPOLIS – Northern Kentucky forward Dantez Walton collects his third consecutive Nike® #HLMBB Player of the Week after averaging 25.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game to lead the Norse to a pair of wins, while Green Bay’s Amari Davis makes it back-to-back Nike® #HLMBB Freshman of the Week awards after leading the Phoenix with 19 points at Xavier as the Horizon League announced its men’s basketball weekly honors on Monday.

Dantez Walton | Northern Kentucky | Senior | Forward | Lima, Ohio
Walton becomes the first #HLMBB player since Negele Knight of Dayton during the 1989-90 season to win three-straight player of the week honors. He averaged 25.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game in leading Northern Kentucky to a pair of wins, a 22-point road victory at Miami (OH) and a 19-point defeat of Eastern Kentucky at home. In the road win over the RedHawks, Walton made 13-of-20 field-goal attempts, including 4-for-9 from 3-point land, en route to 32 points, which was his third 30-point outing in a four-game span. He also added eight rebounds and four assists. The senior capped off the week by making 7-of-11 field goals and 3-of-5 from long range in an 18-point, nine-rebound showing against Eastern Kentucky. Walton was highly efficient across the two games, converted 65 percent (20-of-31) from the field and 50 percent (7-of-14) from beyond the arc.
#HLMBB Freshman of the Week
Amari Davis | Green Bay | Freshman | Guard | Trotwood, Ohio
Davis claims his third Freshman of the Week honor of the season as he continues to lead his team in scoring as a freshman while ranking sixth in the entire Horizon League. He is now averaging 15.3 points per game thanks to another strong week. Davis poured in a team-best 19 points on the road at Xavier in a physical and competitive game in Cincinnati. He continues to shoot the ball at an extremely high clip, shooting 57.4 percent from the field, which ranks second in the Horizon League. Davis ranks in the top 10 of all freshman scoring in the NCAA, and will play twice this week at UCF and home to Evansville.
