The Gators are set to host three teams this weekend in part of the 2025 ITA Kickoff Weekend. The event will be free to the public and stretch across Saturday and Sunday.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 19 ranked Gators will remain in Gainesville this weekend and are set to host LSU, Miami, and FIU, in this year’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Kickoff Weekend.
Florida will initiate play at the Alfred A. Ring Complex on Saturday as they take on FIU in the first matchup of the weekend. Doubles will go out at 11 a.m. with singles to immediately follow. Once the two Florida-based teams determine a winner, Miami and LSU will begin play at approximately 2 p.m.
Depending on Saturday’s outcome, Florida will face either the Tigers or the Hurricanes on Sunday. Sunday’s consolation match is set for 11 a.m. and the ITA Kickoff Championship match is set for 2 p.m.
The team that advances out of Sunday’s championship match will punch a ticket to the Indoor National Championships. ITA National Indoors for 2025 will span from Feb. 7-10 at the University of Illinois.
LAST TIME OUT
The Gators will enter the ITA weekend after a 5-2 win over North Florida on Sunday, Jan. 19. Florida hosted the Osprey in the first dual match of the spring and set the tone for the dual season with four singles and two doubles wins.

Freshman Neilson-Gatenby had one of the more notable performances with a 7-6(8-6), 6-4 comeback win after being down 5-0 in the first set.
In doubles, Bente Spee<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-tennis/roster/bente-spee/16144> and Dudeney picked up an immediate 6-3 victory over UNF’s Isabel Oliveira and Nicole Alfaro Solis. Freshmen pair Neilson-Gatenby and Daubnerova also secured a 6-3 win claiming the overall doubles point for Florida.

The Gators currently sit at No. 19 in the ITA rankings and No. 4 in the SEC preseason coaches’ poll.
