Jaguars Week 9 Schedule Change and Jaguars Make Roster Moves (10-22-24 & 10-26-24)

JACKSONVILLE Today the NFL announced an adjustment to the Jacksonville Jaguars Week 9 schedule.  The Jaguars will now face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 4:05 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field.  The game will be broadcast nationally by CBS and locally on WJAX-CBS47.

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have made the following roster moves, the team announced today:

  • Placed LB Foye Oluokun on the Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return List and opened his 21-day practice period
  • Opened S Andrew Wingard’s 21-day practice period
  • Released CB Tre Flowers

Oluokun was originally drafted by Atlanta in the sixth round (200th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft. He signed with Jacksonville as an unrestricted free agent following the 2021 season. Since arriving in Jacksonville in 2022, Oluokun leads the NFL in solo tackles (252) and ranks fourth in total tackles (379). In 2023, he recorded 173 total tackles (111 solo), eight tackles for loss, six passes defensed, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one interception returned for a touchdown. Last season, he surpassed 150 total tackles for the third consecutive season, becoming just the sixth player to accomplish the feat since 2000. He also posted career highs in quarterback hits (10) and fumble recoveries (three) in 2023. In his seven seasons, Oluokun has amassed 833 total tackles (519 solo), 35 tackles for loss, 24 passes defensed, 10.5 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, six interceptions and six fumble recoveries. He was placed on the Reserve/Injured List on September 28.

Wingard originally signed with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and has played in 78 games (26 starts) from 2019-23. In his six-year career with Jacksonville, he has posted 210 tackles (150 solo), nine passes defensed, eight tackles for loss, five quarterback hits, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Additionally, on special teams he has recorded 40 tackles (26 solo). Wingard was placed on the Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return List on August 27.

  • Downgraded S Andrew Wingard from questionable to out
  • OL Cam Robinson has cleared concussion protocol and has no game status for tomorrow’s game

Funk was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the seventh round (233rd overall) of the 2021 Draft. After his rookie season with Rams, he also spent part of the 2022 season with the team. He later signed with New Orleans (2022), Indianapolis (2022), Miami (2023) and Baltimore’s (2023) practice squads. In January 2024, Funk signed with Detroit and was waived in August. Funk was also elevated for Jacksonville’s Week 7 win over New England. Prior to the NFL, the Gaithersburg, Md., native played at Maryland from 2016-20, redshirting in 2018 due to injury. He finished his senior season (2020) ranking first in the Big Ten and second nationally in yards per carry (8.6), and third all-time in single-season yards per carry in program history. Funk was elevated for last week’s game against New England.

Gaziano was originally signed by the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He played in 21 games in three seasons with the Chargers (2020-22) and recorded 22 tackles (14 solo), four quarterback hits, two tackles for loss, one pass defensed and 1.0 sack. In March 2023, Gaziano signed a one-year deal with the Falcons and saw action in two games. Gaziano joined the Jaguars in 2024 as an unrestricted free agent, signing with the team’s practice squad in August. Gaziano was elevated from the practice squad and played in Week 7 vs. New England. The Scituate, Mass., native played collegiately at Northwestern University (2015-19), where he appeared in 52 games and recorded 153 tackles (100 solo), 48.5 tackles for loss, 30.0 sacks, 15 passes defensed, 10 forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries. In his final season he earned first-team All-Big Ten honors.  His 30.0 career sacks set the all-time record for Northwestern University. Gaziano was elevated for last week’s game against New England.
