Tampa, Fla. – Wednesday, July 17, 2024 – South Florida women’s golf head coach AJ Newell has announced the addition of Kenzie Heba and Alice Webb on Wednesday afternoon. The pair marks the first signings of the Newell Era.
“I’m thrilled to announce Kenzie (Heba) and Alice (Webb) as the first two new additions to our roster for the upcoming season. Their experience will be a great asset to our program and I cannot wait to have them on campus as a part of our Bulls family.”
Heba heads to Tampa after graduating in three years with a degree in Business Administration in Finance from West Florida in May 2024. During her time with the Argonauts, Herba helped her team capture the 2024 and 2022 Gulf South Conference Women’s Golf Championships. The St. Augustine, Fla., native was named to the Gulf South Conference Honor Roll in the Spring of 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Coach Newell on Heba: Kenzie (Heba) is a driven and experienced student-athlete who is ready to get to work in her final season. The experience that Kenzie brings coupled with her determination and positivity will be a lot of fun to coach and I look forward to having her join us for her final year.
Webb comes to the bay after spending her first two collegiate years at the University of Indianapolis, where she was a two-time WGCA Scholar All-American and named to 2024 All-Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Team. Webb finished the 2023-24 season with a 74.2 scoring average and collected six Top-10 and four Top-5 finishes in 2023-24.
Coach Newell on Webb: “Not only is Alice (Webb) a fanatic player with high-level DII experience but her maturity and character was evident from the first time that we spoke. Alice will be an excellent example of what it means to be a Bull and I am excited for the depth she brings to our roster.”
