Florida returns to Louisiana for the second time this year to take part in the SEC Outdoor Championships
BATON ROUGE, La. – The Florida Gators Track & Field teams begin their pursuit for an SEC Outdoor Championships on Thursday at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is Florida’s second trip to Baton Rouge this season, having competed in the LSU Invitational two weeks ago.
The Florida women are seeking their second consecutive SEC Outdoor title and the men are looking to win their first since 2018. Last season the men finished fourth in this competition. The Florida men’s team has won six SEC Outdoor titles and the women’s team has won seven. Four of the men’s and three of the women’s titles have come under Head Coach Mike Holloway.
So far in the 2023 outdoor season, the Gators have recorded 74 new personal bests. Fifty-three of these career performances have come on the track, and nineteen were in the field.
