In the final week of American Athletic Conference awards, Sarah Reznick, Maggi Hall and Emma LoPinto earn accolades
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After a perfect 2-0 week to cap off the regular season, three Gators earned American Athletic Conference honors, the league announced Monday.
Sarah Reznick was named as the AAC Goalkeeper of the Week, while Maggi Hall and Emma LoPinto were tabbed to the Honor Roll.
That was Reznick’s sixth honor this season (4 – Goalkeeper, 2 Honor Roll), while Emma LoPinto picked up her 10th weekly accolade this year (3 – Attacker, 7 – Honor Roll). This was the first weekly honor for Hall during the 2023 campaign.
In the two final games of the regular season, Reznick tallied 12 saves with a .522 save percentage.
Against the Jacksonville Dolphins – who are receiving votes in the IWLCA/ILWomen Top-25 poll – she notched five saves with a .417 save percentage during 54 minutes of play.
The Long Beach, N.Y. native allowed only four goals against the Old Dominion Monarchs, recording seven saves and one groundball during her 44+ minutes between the pipes.
The redshirt junior goalkeeper currently sits 15 saves away from tying the all-time program record of 566 career saves (Haley Hicklen, 2016-19).
She also ranks fourth in the nation with a .532 save percentage and she sits first in the conference in saves per game with 8.88.
Hall registered a total of 12 points over the course of the two games this past week, including averaging 4.00 goals per game.
Against Jacksonville, the junior attacker led the way with five goals on six shots for a .833 shooting percentage. She also dished out an assist and picked up a groundball in the 16-11 victory.
The Bel Air, Md. native posted six points against Old Dominion, tallying three goals and three assists. She also picked up a team-high four groundballs, while adding in two caused turnovers.
Hall currently sits seventh in the nation in shooting percentage (.623) and ranks seventh in the AAC in points per game (3.47).
LoPinto was tabbed to the Honor Roll after averaging 4.00 points per game last week.
She registered three points against Jacksonville, coming from one goal and two assists. She also posted one groundball and one draw control in the win over the Dolphins.
Against Old Dominion, LoPinto led the offensive attack with four goals, while also adding an assist in the 17-5 victory.
The Manhasset, N.Y. native ranks in the Top-10 in the AAC in the following categories: points per game (2nd | 4.41), goals per game (3rd | 3.00), assists per game (3rd | 1.41), shots per game (6th | 5.24).
The Gators have reached postseason play and will compete against the No. 3-seeded East Carolina Pirates in the American Athletic Conference Semifinal on Thursday. Opening draw is slated for 7:15 p.m. in Philadelphia, Pa. and the game can also be streamed on ESPN+.
