Maisie Filler will play in her second LPGA event June 10-12 at Seaview Golf Club in Galloway, N.J.
GALLOWAY, N.J. – Maisie Filler is set to make her second LPGA appearance at the ShopRite Classic this weekend after earning a sponsorship exemption.
The Palm Beach Gardens native made her debut at the 2021 Pelican Championships after finishing as the top amateur in qualifying and receiving a sponsorship exemption.
Earning All-SEC Second Team honors for the second straight season, Filler led the Gators in stroke average (72.3), top-10 (4) and top-25 (8) finishes. In the quarterfinals of match play at the SEC Championships, she was clutch with back-to-back wins on 16 and 17 to secure the match-clinching point. Knocking off No. 1 Auburn to send Florida to the match play finals for the first time in program history.
Filler wrote her name into the record book in the fall after recording her career-best finish (2nd) at The Ally. She posted all three rounds in the 60’s – 69, 66 and 68. After setting her career-low in round two, she turned in a 68 (-4) today en route to tying second all-time in program history for low individual tournament at 203 (-13). The last Gator to record the mark was Camila Hedberg in 2012 at the Cougar Classic. Filler was one stroke away from the program record (202) set by current pro Sam Wagner in 2016.
The event will take place at Seaview Golf Club in Calloway, N.J. from June 10-12. All three rounds will be streamed, staring with round one beginning on Friday at 12 p.m. ET on Golf Channel.
