DOLPHINS EXTEND TURNOVER STREAK TO 24 GAMES
• LB Jerome Baker extended Miami’s turnover streak to 24 games when he forced a fumble of Buffalo RB Zack Moss
with 4:01 left of the first quarter. The ball was ultimately recovered by S Jevon Holland.
o CB Xavien Howard also had a takeaway in the game, intercepting QB Josh Allen in the second quarter.
• The last time the Dolphins didn’t record a takeaway was Nov. 17, 2019 vs. Buffalo. They’ve recorded multiple
takeaways in 11 of the 24 games during the streak, including the last two.
• The streak is the third longest in Dolphins history and longest since a 42-game streak from Dec. 5, 1982 to Oct. 6,
1985.
• It’s the longest takeaway streak in the NFL since New England had a 36-game streak from Oct. 16, 2011 to Nov. 3,
2013.

• CB Xavien Howard intercepted his first pass of the 2021 season today when he picked off a QB Josh Allen pass
intended for WR Stefon Diggs in the second quarter.
• It was the 23rd interception of Howard’s career, moving him into a tie for ninth place (Gerald Smalls) in team history.
• Howard led the NFL with 10 interceptions in 2020, becoming the first NFL player since 2007 (Antonio Cromartie) to
record double-digit sacks.
• Howard’s 23 interceptions since 2017 are the most in the NFL (stats as of the end of today’s 1 p.m. games):
