53 Players Invited to the U.S. Women’s National Team Evaluation Camp

National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota, will host event from October 25-31COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey has invited 53 players to its U.S. Women’s National Team Evaluation Camp that will be held from Oct. 25-31 in Blaine, Minnesota, at the National Sports Center. The camp is part of the process in selecting the U.S. Women’s National Team for the 2021 International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship set for April 7-17, in Halifax and Truro, Nova Scotia.“We are excited to get our top players together as we prepare for the upcoming season and head toward the 2022 Olympics,” said Katie Million, director of women’s national team programs for USA Hockey. “We look forward to being in Blaine and ultimately the culmination of this season ahead in the world championship.”

Of the 53 invited players, 17 were part of the gold medal-winning 2019 U.S. Women’s National Team, 14 were members of the 2018 gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic Team, and 31 are current collegiate athletes.

Due to safety protocols, the camp will be closed to the public, including fans, scouts and media.
