2021-22 UAB Women’s Basketball Single Game Tickets on Sale Now

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women’s basketball single game tickets are on sale beginning today. The 2021-22 home schedule features 16 contests, nine of those being Conference USA showdowns. Tickets are $5 for adults or $3 for those 18 or younger. 

Women’s basketball season tickets are also still available by purchasing the 2021-22 Gold Card for $65. The Gold Card is an exclusive offer that grants you admission into all women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, baseball and softball events for the academic year. This card is not valid for Conference USA or NCAA Championship events.

Prior to the beginning of the regular season, UAB will host Spring Hill College in an exhibition game on Nov. 5. Fans wishing to attend the exhibition game versus Spring Hill College can attend the game free of charge. Tickets will be available on game day only by coming to the UAB Athletics Ticket Office located at Bartow Arena.

The first regular season game at Bartow Arena will be against Shorter University on Nov. 10.

The Blazers put their 9-0 all-time mark on the line against Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 19 and close out the month by hosting Chattanooga on Nov. 29.

UAB has three December games in Bartow Arena – Dec. 5 against Miles, Dec. 15 versus Arkansas Pine Bluff and Dec. 21 taking on Grambling.

The conference home opener is Jan. 6 against North Texas where preseason All-Conference USA selection Quincy Noble (17.9 ppg) is back for the Mean Green. Defending WNIT champion Rice comes to Bartow on Jan. 8.

A pair of byes is sandwiched between three home games – Louisiana Tech on Jan. 22, WKU on Jan. 27 and Marshall on Jan. 29. The Thundering Herd return Savannah Wheeler (17.0 ppg), who was a Preseason All-Conference USA selection.

Old Dominion comes to Birmingham on Feb. 13. The Monarchs have three Preseason All-Conference USA selections in Ajah Wayne (15.5 ppg, 9.7 rpg), Iggy Allen (22.2 ppg, 11.2 rpg) and Amari Young (13.6 ppg, 11.2 rpg). Allen and Young are two of three returning C-USA players to average a double-double, the other being UAB’s Zakyia Weathersby.

The final homestead of the season begins with UTSA on Feb. 23. The Roadrunners return Preseason All-Conference USA selection Katia Gallegos (13.8 ppg). The homestand continues with UTEP on Feb. 26 and concludes with Southern Miss on March 2.
