• Detroit won its second-straight game and extended its home winning streak to a season-best three games.
• The game was the first for Detroit to require overtime since Nov. 16 at San Jose.
• Dylan Larkin scored his 99th career goal in addition to the shootout-clinching goal.
• Larkin’s goal also extended his point streak to five games, which matches Anthony Mantha (Nov. 6-14) and Bertuzzi (Dec. 14-22) for the longest point streak by a Red Wing this season.
• In Larkin’s last seven games, the Waterford, Michigan, native has posted a scoring line of seven points (3-4-7).
•Tyler Bertuzzi scored the game’s opening goal at 14:55 in the first period for his 16th of the season to extend his team-lead in goals on the year.
• The goal gave Bertuzzi at least a point in back-to-back games, and he has nine points (6-3-9) in his last 12 outings.
• The winger later assisted on Dylan Larkin’s power-play goal at 5:32 in the second period for his seventh multi-point game of the season. Bertuzzi now leads the club in goals and points (34), and has 18 assists to share the team lead.
• In his 43rd game of 2019-20, Filip Hronek registered his 24th and 25th points of the season (8-17-25) and eclipsed last year’s pro- duction of 23 points in 46 games.
• Hronek’s two helpers mark his fourth multi-assist game on the campaign to claim the team lead in multi-assist games.
• Both Hronek and Bertuzzi have enjoyed recent success against the Senators. The former has also compiled five points (0-5-5) in his last three games versus Ottawa, while the latter has four points (2-2-4) over his last four games against the Sens.
• Bernier improved to 5-3-0 with a 2.09 goals-against average and 0.937 save percentage in his last nine appearances.
• Adam Erne skated in his 150th NHL game, logging 13:11 time on ice, three shots and two hits.
