#16 FAU Beach Volleyball Falls to No. 8 FIU

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – (April 6, 2019) – The 16th-ranked Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team lost to rival FIU 3-2 at the FSU Beach Bash on Saturday. The Owls are now 11-11 on the year.

Kaila Dorish and Julia Lewkowicz fell in straight sets on court five. Savannah Pesante and Sam Gott, playing together for the first time, outlasted the FIU duo 15-11 in the third set at no. 4. On court two, Amanda Silva and Nicole Grant suffered a straight set loss. Erica Brok and Mackenzie Morris also fell victim to a Panther sweep on court one. Jillenne Cangelosi and Megan Mcgrath recorded their 13th straight set win of the season with a 21-16, 21-19 victory at no. 3. Lily Richman and Bailey Myott lost 21-18, 21-17 on the exhibition court.
