DALLAS – No. 14 Florida Atlantic beach volleyball’s Stephanie Young and Logan Mignerey were named Conference USA Pair of the Week after going a perfect 3-0 this past weekend at the Stetson Beach Invitational. The duo earned wins against Coastal Carolina, No. 17 Stetson, and FGCU.
The weekly honor marks the first career selection for Young and Mignerey and the third for the Sandy Owls this season.
Young and Mignerey paired up for the first time ever this week, going a perfect 3-0 and helping lead the Sandy Owls to a 3-1 weekend at the Stetson Beach Invitational.
Stephanie and Logan earned three straight-set victories against Coastal Carolina, No. 17 Stetson, and FGCU. The pair opened the weekend with a dominant two-set victory on court five against Coastal Carolina, winning 21-11, 21-17 on Friday. On Saturday, the duo matched up for the first time on court four against No. 17 Stetson, earning their second two-setter of the weekend in decisive fashion, 21-19, 21-10. The pair closed out the weekend on court four against FGCU, earning their third straight-set win of the tournament against the Eagles, 21-18, 21-19.

The Sandy Owls will have this weekend to prepare for their next tournament as they travel to Tallahassee, Florida on April 7 and 8 to compete in Florida State’s Unconquered Invitational.
