3/5/2025 | No. 22 Women’s Tennis BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women’s tennis boast a 6-0 record and remain among the country’s elite with a top 30 ranking, coming in at No. 27 in this week’s ITA poll, which was announced on Tuesday. ![]() The Owls have quietly maintained perfection while navigating a schedule that has seen a flurry of matches and then breaks for a respite. Right now, the Owls are in a respite. FAU opened the season with a hidden dual, was off for five days and then played two on January 16 and 19. The Owls defeated Miami and Minnesota in those mid-January matches and then used 12 days to prepare for Florida Gulf Coast and North Florida. Two in-state victories before a 19 day rest prior to Stetson and UCF victories. The Owls are in the midst of a three-week break before their next flurry of matches, five in 10 days, that begins with Boston College on Thursday, Mar. 13 at 10 a.m. All five will be home matches played at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center. As a team, Florida Atlantic has tallied a 21-3 singles mark with three Owls: senior Lexi Silna (5-0), newcomer Malwina Rowinska (5-0) and Millie-Mae Matthews (4-0) remaining perfect on the season, while no Owl has surrendered more than one match. They are near perfect in doubles play as well holding a 13-2 mark. Silna and Lara Smejkal lead the way at 6-0.
