| 4/5/2025 | No. 29 Women’s Tennis NEW ORLEANS, La. – The No. 29 Florida Atlantic women’s tennis team pushed its winning streak to 14 with a 4-0 win over No. 43 Tulsa. The undefeated Owls captured the neutral site match on Saturday afternoon in New Orleans on the campus of Tulane. The contest was the second in as many days and the third in four days for FAU, which now holds a record of 14-0 and is the only undefeated team in NCAA Division I. The Golden Hurricane fell to 15-6 on the year. The Owls knew they were heading into a storm with two Tulsa double teams ranked among the nation’s best, but the underclassmen and top FAU duo of Malwina Rowinksa and Lara Smejkal, downed Tulsa’s topped pair, who is ranked No. 33 by a 7-6(7-4) score. On court three, senior Lexi Sila and sophomore Panna Bartha waged another come-from-behind 7-6 (7-4) tiebreak win that earned the doubles point for FAU. The Owls then took to the singles courts to shut out the match in clinch play. It was junior Victoria Gomez O’Hayon, Smejkal, and Rowinska who ran the “Big Easy” table on courts two, three, and four.
