BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 28 Florida Atlantic women’s tennis team continues to enjoy an historic run led by Panna Bartha, Victoria Gomez O’Hayon and Lexi Silna, each of whom were named All-Conference by the American Athletic Conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Bartha was the AAC Freshman of the Year selection in 2024 and followed up her first collegiate campaign with a 12-5 sophomore season, playing on courts one and two and owning a 14-3 record in doubles play. Gomez O’Hayon also saw action on the top two courts, building a 10-10 record and a 13-5 record in doubles matches, while senior Lexi Silna holds an undefeated record for the Owls at 13-0 in singles and a 14-3 doubles record.
On Monday night, Florida Atlantic claimed a berth in the 2025 NCAA Championship and will play an opening round match on Friday, May 2 at 1 p.m. The 2025 NCAA Tournament appearance is the first for the Owls since 2004. FAU, which extended its winning streak to 16 matches in the conference tournament before the Owls fell in the semifinals, brings a 16-1 record into its first-round match against Old Dominion. The Owls are one of four American Athletic Conference teams to make the 2025 field of 64.
