KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Florida Atlantic’s women’s soccer team fell to Tennessee on Sunday afternoon in the Regal Soccer Stadium
The Owls ended the day with a 2-0 loss against the Lady Vols. Florida Atlantic moves to 0-4-2 on the season after the match. The Owls are now 0-2 against Tennessee in program history.
For FAU, the starting lineup saw one slight change. Freshman Ashley Small was in goal this afternoon for her first collegiate start. The Lady Vols scored a goal early in the match to take the lead. Forward Drew Dempsey registered a shot on goal to try for the equalizer. In the first half, both teams were tied in shots on goal at three each.
A minute into the second half, Small registered her first collegiate save. She recorded three saves on the day. The Lady Vols scored another goal to extend their lead in the second half.
