Women’s Tennis – #2 Sharks Fall Short in National Championship

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – The second-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks saw their 2025 season come to a close, falling to Sunshine State Conference rival Barry University in the NCAA Division II National Championship.

SINGLES

  • Kristyna Hranacova displayed dominance with a straight-sets win (6-0, 6-4) over Alina Michalitsch.
  • Ita Habekovic battled through a tough match to defeat Viktoriia Dema in two tight sets, 7-5, 6-3.
  • Andrea Di Palma overcame Sofia Shing in a three-set match, taking the first and final sets 6-1 and 6-1, with Shing grabbing the second set 6-4.
  • Louane Lutringer controlled the match, defeating Isabella Ciancaglini 6-0, 6-1.
  • Dinara Alloiarova held off Noemie Dadoun in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4, in a tightly contested match.
  • Angela Leweurs claimed a straight-sets win over Julia Moraes, winning both sets 6-4.
