CLEARWATER, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s swimming team concluded its 2020 Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Championships on Sunday, finishing in fourth place.

HOW IT HAPPENED:· Evening Session
- Karolina Smylek took home the bronze in the 200-back (2:00.71).
- Ewa Osiniak claimed fourth in the 100-free (51.65) and Clara Monges took seventh (51.96).
- Anita Field placed 14th in the 200-back (2:08.01).
- Samantha Beck was fourth in the 200-breast (2:18.66).
- Clara Monges, Tatiana St. Juste, Alyson Currao and Sarah Nichols finished seventh in the 400-free relay (3:31.12).
- Smylek, Kali Bush, Susan Faremouth and Samar Khacha all raced the 400-free relay.
· Morning Session
- Monges and Osiniak posted NCAA ‘B’ cuts in the 100-free with times of 51.84 and 51.87, respectively.
- Nichols, St. Juste and Patricia Duong also swam in the 100-free’s morning session.
- Smylek was third in the 200-back with a mark of 2:02.66, an NCAA ‘B’ cut.
- Field and Sydney Keefe also competed in the 200-back.
- Beck took third in the 200-breast prelims with a time of 2:19.27.
- Khacha, Grace Armit, Grace Foltz, Savanna Suggs and Shelby McKeever rounded out Lynn’s contingent in the 200-breast.
- Bush finished seventh and Faremouth finished ninth in the 1650-free.
- Brecca Hawkins took 10th, followed by Shelley Sikes in 12th to finish off Lynn’s 1650-free group.
