BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women’s soccer team was named to the Conference USA Academic Excellence Award, as announced by the conference on Friday.
The honor is given to the institution with the highest cumulative GPA for the 2021-22 academic year in each sport. After another year of excellence in the classroom, the Owls’ women’s soccer program posted a 3.46 GPA for the ’21-22 school year.
In the spring semester, the Owls had 24 student-athletes land on the FAU Dean’s List following a 26-deep showing on the fall Dean’s List.
This past season, FAU earned the United Soccer Coaches All-Academic award for the sixth consecutive season. Emma Grissom, a fall 2021 graduate, extended the Owls’ streak of having at least one student-athlete on the Conference USA All-Academic team to nine years.
