Here’s your third update on Marlins’ prospects in the Winter Leagues:
IN ARIZONA:
INF Jose Salas made his first start at third base on Oct. 22, going 2×3 with a double and RBI.
LHP Chandler Jozwiak pitched a scoreless inning, with no hits and 2 strikeouts on Oct. 27.
RHP Holt Jones matched his AFL-high with 3.2 innings pitched in relief on Oct. 24. Allowed 1 run on 4 hits with 3 strikeouts.
IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC:
INF Charles Leblanc had consecutive multi-hit games on Oct. 22 and Oct. 23, going 4×8 with a double and 2 runs scored. He is hitting .281 (9×32) in his first 8 games in LIDOM.
INF/OF Luke Williams had hits in 4 of 6 games played, including a 2×4 effort with a triple, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored on Oct. 22.
