SWIM – Sharks Close Out First Half of Schedule on Strong Note

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – NSU closed out their dual meet with Tampa at the NSU Aquatic Center on Saturday morning. The Women’s and Men’s teams closed out the fall schedule with strong outings throughout the entire event.

How it Happened

(Women’s)

  • Emily Trieschmann placed first in the 100 IM with a time of 57.47.
  • With a time of 10:05.36, Hailey Williams took first in the 1000 Freestyle.
  • In the 100 Backstroke, Mollie Morfelt finished first with a time of 56.80.
  • Hannah Montgomery was victorious in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:04.29.
  • With a time of 1:51.43, Rafaela Raurich won the 200 Freestyle.
  • Setting a new pool record with a time of 4:19.71, Trieschmann placed first in the 400 IM.
  • Raurich was victorious in her second event of the day, finishing first in the 100 Butterfly.
  • The group of Morfelt, Emilia Ronningdal, Raurich, and Maya Esparza placed first in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:43.70.
How it Happened

(Men’s)

  • In the 1000 Freestyle, Luca Alessandrini took first and set a pool record with a time of 9:08.25.
  • Marcel Snitko placed first in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 50.74.
  • With a time of 54.53, Inigo Marina won the 100 Breaststroke.
  • Snitko was victorious in his second event of the day, taking first in the 200 Freestyle.
  • In the 400 IM, Keith Peristeridis placed first with a time of 3:58.16.
  • Snitko, Marina, Umberto Marsic, and Mateus Ribeiro won the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:31.74.
What's Next

The Sharks will be back in the pool January 12 as they open the second half of their schedule with a meet with West Chester University of Pennsylvania and Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, FL.
