The NBA Finals are over and congrats to the Toronto Raptors on winning the NBA Championship. Of course people are already saying that if they had a healthy Kevin Durant they wouldn’t of won? We will never know and who really cares? The issue I have is that Golden State already knew that Durant didn’t have a calf strain! They knew it was an Achilles injury from the very beginning.
Kevin Durant injured it during the Houston Rockets series and now the Warriors organization is acting like they are shocked now by this injury? Forget about if Kevin Durant will come back to the Warriors, Will he be the same again? I see him going to the Knicks and he will be paid hundreds of millions of dollars despite missing next season.
So what’s next for the Warriors? Is the dynasty over? How hurt is Klay Thompson and will he play next season? We will have to see where Kawahi Leonard ends up and are the Toronto Raptors the real deal? Free agency is going to be really interesting and we will know more what happens in the next couple of months. I do hope this injury doesn’t hurt Durants career. Kobe Bryant wasn’t the same when he hurt his Achilles.
