WGolf – #8 Sharks clinch spot in NCAA Championship Tournament

GAINESVILLE, Ga. – For the third consecutive year the Nova Southeastern Sharks Women’s Golf team has clinched a spot in the NCAA National Championship tournament. The eighth-ranked Sharks, winners of the Sunshine State Conference Championship, finished the NCAA South/Southeast Region tournament in second place, ending their final round shooting (+14/292/292/294). Rosanna Halls led the Sharks, placing third, finishing the tournament three-under (69/75/69)

How it Happened
  • Rosanna Halls continued her sterling performance at the regional tournament by recording a birdie on four consecutive holes, before adding pars on the the final three holes of the front nine. Halls closed the tournament with seven pars on the back-nine and finished in third place at three-under. 
  • Lua Pousa Dacasa parred each of her first four holes on the round. She added two consecutive birdies on the back nine before closing the round with five straight pars. Pousa Dacasa finished the tournament four-over and in 12th place. 
  • Haruka Muta recorded a par on six consecutive holes to begin the afternoon. Muta closed the day with five pars on the back nine, shooting a 76 in the final round. 
  • Maria Torres-Lobato parred her first three holes, totaling six pars, across the front nine. She closed the tournament by recording a par on seven consecutive holes.
  • Ariana Carvalho added a birdie, but bogeyed seven holes on the front nine. Carvalho found her groove on the back nine, finishing the tournament with eight pars. 
What's Next
