| 10/2/2024 | Women’s Basketball BOCA RATON, Fla. – The American Athletic Conference announced the 2024-25 schedules for women’s basketball on Wednesday afternoon. The Florida Atlantic women’s basketball team will compete in an 18-game conference slate, highlighted by nine home games inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. The Owls will tip off their second season in the AAC on Sunday, Dec. 29 in Paradise, hosting the Tulane Green Wave. Following the new year, Florida Atlantic will kick off 2025 on the road, heading to Greenville, N.C., to face off against the East Carolina Pirates on Saturday, Jan. 4. Florida Atlantic will then return to Paradise for the first time in 2025 as the Owls host a two-game homestand, welcoming Temple on Wednesday, Jan. 8, and UAB on Saturday, Jan. 11. Following their contest with UAB, the Owls will head back on the road as they travel for the first time to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for a midweek matchup against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Wednesday, Jan. 15, before returning to the Sunshine State as they head to Tampa to face off against in-state rival South Florida on Saturday, Jan. 18. The Owls return to Boca for another pair of back-to-back home matchups as they host the Charlotte 49ers on Wednesday, Jan. 22, and the North Texas Mean Green on Saturday, Jan. 25. Florida Atlantic will wrap up the month of January on the road as the Owls head to New Orleans for their second matchup against the Tulane Green Wave on Wednesday, Jan. 29. The Owls will tip off February in Paradise as they host the Rice Owls on Saturday, Feb. 1. Florida Atlantic will head back out on a two-game road trip, traveling to Wichita, Kansas, on Wednesday, Feb. 5, to take on the Wichita State Shockers and Memphis, Tennessee, on Saturday, Feb. 8, for a matchup against the Memphis Tigers. The Owls will return to Boca on Saturday, Feb. 15, as they host in-state foe South Florida for their second meeting of the season. Following their meeting with the Bulls, the Owls will have a short turnaround, heading to Houston, Texas to take on the Rice Owls, before flying to Charlotte, N.C. to face off against the Charlotte 49ers. The Owls return home for another midweek matchup on Wednesday, Feb. 26, as they close out the month of February with their second meeting against the East Carolina Pirates. Florida Atlantic closes out its road slate on Saturday, March 1, heading back to the Lone Star State to take on the UTSA Roadrunners in their regular season road finale. The Owls will then close out the regular season on Tuesday, March 4, as they host the Memphis Tigers for senior day. The 2025 American Athletic Conference Tournament will take place on March 8-12 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.Tipoff times will be released at a later date.
