| 9/26/2024 | Women’s Basketball BOCA RATON, Fla. – The American Athletic Conference announced the 2024-25 schedules for women’s basketball on Thursday afternoon. The Florida Atlantic women’s basketball team will compete in an 18-game conference slate, highlighted by nine home games inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.The Owls will tip off their second season in the AAC on Sunday, Dec. 29, with a road matchup against East Carolina.Florida Atlantic will open up the new year at home, hosting Charlotte on Wednesday, Jan. 1, and UAB on Saturday, Jan. 4 at the Elly. The Owls will then hit the road for the first time in 2025 as they head to the Lone Star State to take on Rice on Wednesday, Jan. 8, and UTSA on Saturday, Jan. 11. FAU then returns to Boca Raton for a home contest against the South Florida Bulls on Saturday, Jan. 18.The Owls head back on the road on Wednesday, Jan. 22, traveling to New Orleans for their first-ever road matchup against the Tulane Green Wave.After closing out January in Paradise hosting East Carolina on Saturday, Jan. 25, and Temple on Tuesday, Jan. 28., the Owls will open February on the road, traveling to Memphis on Saturday, Feb. 1 and then heading to Charlotte on Wednesday, Feb. 5.Florida Atlantic will return to the Elly for another pair of back-to-back home matchups as they welcome North Texas on Saturday, Feb. 8, and Rice on Wednesday, Feb. 12. The Owls will then travel to Tampa to take on South Florida on Saturday, Feb. 15, before returning to Paradise for a midweek clash against the Tulane Green Wave on Wednesday, Feb. 19.Florida Atlantic will close out its regular season road slate to wrap up the month of February, heading to Tulsa on Saturday, Feb. 22, and then Wichita State on Tuesday, Feb. 25. The Owls’ regular season slate will come to a close on Saturday, March 1, as they host the Memphis Tigers for senior day. The 2025 American Athletic Conference Tournament will take place on March 8-12 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Tip-off times will be released at a later date.
