WBB | Perry Earns AAC All-Conference Second Team Honors

FORT WORTH, Texas – Florida Atlantic women’s basketball player Mya Perry was recognized on the American Athletic Conference All-Conference Second Team following a breakout 2024-25 campaign, announced by the league office on Friday.
The honor marks the first career postseason accolade for the junior guard.
As the reigning AAC Player of the Week and three-time AAC Honorable Mention honoree, Perry has been sensational for the Owls this season, leading the team offensively and ranking fifth in the AAC in points per game at 15.6. Perry also leads the Owls and ranks third in the AAC in three-pointers per game and three-point attempts, averaging 2.57 threes per game on 204 attempts, in addition to ranking fourth in 3-pointers made, knocking down 72 triples this season, and ranking second for the Owls and sixth in the AAC in 3-point percentage, shooting .35.3% from distance. Perry leads the team in steals per game, averaging 1.5 per contest.Perry registered a team-leading 22 double-digit scoring performances this season, including her first career 30-point game vs. Memphis (Mar. 4) and posting six 20-point performances vs. FIU (Nov. 23), Georgia Southern (Dec. 18), East Carolina (Jan. 4), Tulsa (Jan. 15), Wichita State (Feb. 5), and South Florida (Feb. 15). She posted a career-best 31 points in the Owls’ regular-season finale, making a career-high 11 field goals, shooting 58 percent (11-of-19) from the field, 88 percent (7-of-8) from the line, and connecting on a pair of threes vs. Memphis (March 4). She also tied a career-high four steals vs. Charlotte (Jan. 22) and tied a career-best seven free throws made at Tulsa (Jan. 15) and vs. Memphis (March 4) this season.
