3/6/2025 | Women’s Basketball BOCA RATON, Fla. – Following a career game that saw Mya Perry post the sixth-best offensive performance in the American Athletic Conference this season and her first 30-point outing, the junior guard was recognized as the AAC Player of the Week, while Lovisa Asbrink Hose was also awarded AAC Weekly Honorable Mention honors, announced by the league office on Thursday. The two awards put the Owls at 11 weekly honors this season. This marks Perry’s first-career Player of the Week nod and her third AAC accolade this season, as well as the second career weekly AAC honor for Asbrink Hose. Perry’s career-best game led the Owls to a 69-62 win over Memphis in their regular season finale on Tuesday. Perry scored a career-high 31 points, marking her first career 30-point game. Perry shot 58 percent (11-of-19) from the field, which included a pair of 3-pointers, and going 88 percent (7-of-8) at the line. Perry also added three boards, two assists, and a pair of steals to fill out the stat sheet in the win. Asbrink Hose also had a strong week in the Owls’ win, finishing with six points and adding three rebounds in the win over the Tigers. UP NEXT The Owls are preparing for postseason play as they get set to take on the Charlotte 49ers in the opening round of the AAC Championship on Saturday, March 8 in Denton, Texas.
