BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls (8-16, 3-10 AAC) head back out on the road this weekend as they visit the USF Bulls (15-11, 7-6 AAC) for a 7 p.m. tipoff on Saturday, Feb. 17 inside the Yuengling Center.

FLORIDA ATLANTIC: AT A GLANCE

The Owls fourth-quarter rally fell short on Wednesday as they dropped a 67-57 battle against the AAC-leading North Texas Mean Green.Alexa Zaph and Mya Perry led the Owls against North Texas.Zaph scored a team-high 18 points, shooting 50 percent (6-of-12) from the field and 67 percent (6-of-9) from 3-point range. She also added four boards, two assists, and a steal.Perry scored a team second-best 11 points, shooting going 3-of-12 from the field and a perfect 100 percent (4-of-4) at the line. She also tallied two rebounds, two assists, and a steal.Janeta Rozentale led the Owls on the boards with a team-high eight, while Dyllan Hanna finished second with seven.
Florida Atlantic rallied in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Mean Green 28-16.
SCOUTING USF
South Florida enters this weekend’s matchup at 15-11 overall and 7-6 in AAC play. The Bulls snapped a two-game skid in their last contest, earning a 79-57 win over Wichita State.
As a team, the BullsSouth Florida is led by Vittoria Blasigh and Romi Levy, averaging 14.2 and 14.0 points per game, respectively.
Aerial Wilson leads the Bulls in assists, dishing out 4.4 assists per game.
On the defensive end, Evelien Lutje Schipholt leads the team on the glass, grabbing a team-high 7.9 rebounds per game, and boasts a team-leading 0.9 blocks per game. Carla Brito leads the Bulls in steals, collecting a team-high 0.8 steals per game.
SERIES HISTORY
Florida Atlantic trails the all-time series against USF, 7-10. The Owls are 1-9 all-time when playing on the road in Tampa. Florida Atlantic will look to snap a three-game skid against the Bulls, which includes a 76-20 loss in the last meeting between the two teams on March 15, 2012, in Tampa.
