BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls host the East Carolina Pirates on Wednesday, Feb. 26 for their annual Play4Kay pink game. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena and on ESPN+.

FLORIDA ATLANTIC: AT A GLANCE

  • East Carolina is led offensively by Amiya Joyner, who is the sole Pirate averaging double-figures this year, tallying 14.5 points per game.
  • Joyner is also a big defensive presence for East Carolina, averaging a team-best 9.1 rebounds per game and leading the team in blocks, recording 1.0 block per game this season.
  • Devin Hagemann and Synia Johnson lead the Pirates in assists. Hagemann leads the Pirates with a team-best 63 assists this season, and Johnson has tallied 53 assists, averaging a team-leading 2.8 assists per game.
  • Khia Miller and Jayla Hearp are the Pirates steals leaders, averaging 1.6 and 1.5 steals per game, respectively.

SERIES HISTORY

  • Florida Atlantic trails East Carolina 1-4 all-time, which includes a 0-1 record when playing in Boca Raton. However, the Owls won the last meeting between the two programs, capturing a 64-48 win in their AAC road opener earlier this season on January 4 in Greenville, N.C.

LAST TIME OUT: AT CHARLOTTE

  • The Florida Atlantic Owls fell just short on Saturday against the Charlotte 49ers, falling 58-53.
  • Alana Rouser and Mya Perry led the Owls in the contest. Rouser finished with a career-high 14 points, shooting 67 percent from the field and going a perfect 100 percent (2-of-2) at the line, in addition to grabbing five boards and collecting a pair of steals.
  • Perry finished with 12 points on the day, shooting 50 percent (5-of-10) from the field and 29 percent (2-of-7) from 3-point range. She also added two boards, a pair of assists, and a steal.
  • Stefanie Ingram dished out a team-leading six assists and collected a career-high five steals., while Jada Moore led the Owls on the glass with a team-high six boards, and Lovisa Asbrink Hose tallied a career-high three blocks.
  • Florida Atlantic outscored the 49ers 21-15 in the fourth period and outshot Charlotte 44 percent to 33.3 percent from the field.
  • The Owls also held advantages in points off turnovers, 14-10, points in the paint, 22-18, and transition points, 4-2.
