WBB: Miami Adds Quinnipiac Transfer Gal Raviv

MIAMI, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s basketball program and Head Coach Tricia Cullop have officially announced the addition of Gal Raviv, a 5-foot-9 point guard from Kadima, Israel, who spent her freshman season competing for Quinnipiac this past year.

“We are thrilled Gal is joining our program,” said Cullop. “She can score at all three levels, has outstanding court vision, and is a proven winner. She has also enjoyed great success internationally representing Team Israel.”

Raviv is set to join the Hurricanes after completing a sensational freshman campaign at Quinnipiac, where she was named the 2025 Mid-American Athletic Conference (MAAC) Player of the Year, the 2025 MAAC Rookie of the Year, as well as earning All-MAAC First Team and All-MAAC Rookie Team honors. Raviv was also recognized as the Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) Rookie of the Year, in addition to garnering All-ECAC First Team honors. As a freshman, Raviv led Quinnipiac to an overall record of 28-5, starting all 33 games, while leading the team in points per game (17.9 PPG), rebounds per game (5.5 RPG), and assists per game (4.3 APG). Raviv shot 44.8 percent from the field, 31.1 percent from behind the arc, and 74.8 percent at the free throw line, and she finished second on the team in steals per game (1.4 SPG).

Raviv reached double figures in scoring in 26 of 33 games, including scoring 20+ points in 16 contests. She dropped a career-high 32 points on 12-24 shooting, including 6-11 from beyond the arc, while also grabbing nine rebounds and recording six assists to lead Quinnipiac to a 77-74 victory over Sienna in February (2/1/25). Raviv had two double-doubles, and she had a career-high nine assists in a win over Rider early in the season (12/19/25). Raviv was named to the All-Tournament team at the Miami Thanksgiving Tournament after averaging 24.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game across two contests.

Prior to attending Quinnipiac, Raviv competed for Bella Vista Prep High School. Raviv has significant international experience competing for Israel. She represented Israel in the FIBA U18 Women’s Eurobasket in Portugal, where was the fourth leading scorer in the entire event and led Israel with 17.3 points per game and 4.7 assists per contest. In 2021, Raviv was named the Breakthrough Player of the Year in Israel.

Raviv is the third transfer addition for Miami this offseason, joining Vittoria Blasigh and Mya Kone. Raviv will have three years of eligibility remaining with the Hurricanes.
