LEXINGTON, KY. – The United States Marine Corps. and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 2023 USMC/AVCA Academic Awards on Thursday afternoon. The Nova Southeastern Sharks, under the direction of Head Coach Kacie Ehinger, earned the honor by posting a 3.56 cumulative grade-point average during the 2022-23 academic year.
In the fall semester, the Sharks Volleyball team achieved a team GPA of 3.52, with three student-athletes earning 4.00 GPA’s, while seven earned Director’s List honors (GPA’s higher than 3.80). Following competition, the Volleyball program improved its team GPA to 3.61, with six achieving a perfect 4.00 GPA and eight earned Director’s List honors.
