VB | Hensley, Robine Named AAC Second Team All-Conference

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Helping lead the Owls to 16 wins this season, a sixth-place finish in the American Athletic Conference, and securing a spot in the AAC tournament, Katelynn Robine and Victoria Hensley were named to the AAC All-Conference Second Team, announced by the league office Thursday.
The honor marks the first AAC postseason award for both Robine and Hensley, but is the second career postseason honor for Hensley.
Katelynn Robine has been a tremendous offensive presence for the Owls this season. Robine leads the Owls in kills (324), kills per set (3.12), ranking 9th in the AAC, points (365.5), and points per set (3.51). She also ranks third on the team in service aces (23), fourth in service aces per set (0.22), and seventh in blocks (31) and blocks per set (0.30). Robine posted 20 games this season with double-figure kills, including a season-high 18 kills and 20 points at Wichita State on Oct. 13. Defensively, Robine tallied a season-high seven digs against Illinois State on Sept. 20 and tied a career-best four blocks against Mercer on Sept. 20 and Rice on Oct. 18.
Victoria Hensley has had a career season and continues to shine as one of the most prolific setters in Florida Atlantic history. Hensley has dished out a team-leading 1,133 assists this season, currently ranking eighth all-time in a single season at Florida Atlantic, which also leads the AAC and ranks 11th nationally, and leads the AAC and ranks 18th nationally in assists per set, averaging 10.69. Hensley is also one of the Owls back row defensive leaders, ranking third on the team in digs (237) and digs per set (2.24). She also ranks second on the Owls in double-doubles this season, tallying 10 double-doubles with assists and digs. Hensley set numerous career highs in 2024. She dished out a career-best 59 assists during the Owls four-set win over Northern Arizona on Sept. 7. She also tied a career-high four blocks, including a career-best four block assists, during the Owls three-set sweep over Rice on Oct. 18.
UP NEXT
The Florida Atlantic Owls will open up postseason play on Friday, Nov. 22, in the American Athletic Conference Tournament. The Owls are set for a quarterfinal matchup against No. 3-seed East Carolina. First serve is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET inside Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas.
