Tampa, Fla. – Feb. 21, 2025 – South Florida women’s basketball (19-8, 12-2 AAC) hosts Memphis (7-18, 5-9 AAC) in the Yuengling Center on Saturday, Feb. 22. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. and the action will stream on ESPN+ and Bulls Unlimited.
SETTING THE STAGE
The Bulls are winners of 14 of their last 16 games and are looking to extend their current win streak to a season-high nine games. The Tigers enter Saturday as winners of two of their previous four games.
PROMOTIONS
Saturday night is the program’s annual alumni game and salute to service night. The 2025 Final Four Trophy will also be on display at Gate A for all Bulls Fans!
THE SOUTH FLORIDA-MEMPHIS SERIES
Saturday is the 33rd meeting between the two squads. South Florida leads in the all-time series 17-15. The last clash was a 69-46 Bulls win in Memphis, Tenn. (Feb. 1, 2024).

(Puisis is ranked 4th in the nation with 84 total 3-pointers made and 6th nationally in 3FG Made Per Game (3.1 3FGM). Junior forward Carla Brito holds a team best 7.9 rebound average. (6th in the American). Senior forward L’or Mputu has a 7.4 rebound average (7th in the American). The Duo is 2nd the AAC with a combined 15.0 Rebound Average. Graduate guard Mama Dembele is USF’s top assister with 5.5 apg. (19th nationally in APG) (149 total assists ranked 13th nationally). In the latest NCAA Nitty Gritties Report, South Florida is ranked 77 NET SOS, 67 in the NET, and 8 in NET NonCon SOS.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
The Bulls are on an eight-game winning streak, their longest of the season. USF has won 14 of its last 16 games. Sammie Puisis recorded seven made threes, five rebounds and two steals in her last game against Florida Atlantic. The only other USF players this century to reach those marks in a single game are Kitija Laksa (December 15, 2017) and Jazmine Sepulveda (March 7, 2009).
