USF WBB: Bulls Fall To Pirates On Senior Night, 66-57

Tampa, Fla. – Mar. 1, 2025 – South Florida women’s basketball (20-10, 13-4 AAC) fell to East Carolina (16-13, 8-9 AAC), 66-57, at the Yuengling Center on Saturday night.

Graduate guard Sammie Puisis (15 points, three 3-pointers) collected her 17th game of the season with three or more 3-pointers made. Redshirt senior guard Romi Levy (13 points) recorded her 10th game of the season in double-digit points. Graduate guard Mama Dembele (six assists, three steals) recorded her 20th five-plus assist game and 11th three-plus assist game of the campaign.

The Pirates were led by 23 points from Amiya Joyner.

HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED

The game was decided by three-throws, as both teams made 22 field-goals, and four 3-pointers. ECU outshot USF at the line, 18 to nine.

NOTABLE NUMBERS

  • South Florida is 14-3 at home this season.
  • The Bulls have won nine of their last 11 games.
  • For the first time in seven seasons, USF lost its Senior Day Game, and the Bulls are 9-2 in their last 11 Senior Day Games.
