Bulls will host the Gators at Raymond James Stadium on Sat., Sept. 11;
USF set for at least four ABC/ESPN television appearances in 2021
TAMPA, MAY 27, 2021 – USF Football’s much-anticipated 2021 home-opener vs. Florida on Sat., Sept. 11 in Raymond James Stadium has been set for a noon kickoff before a national television audience on ABC.
Second-year head coach Jeff Scott and the Bulls received kick times and television arrangements for five games during the 2021 USF Football season presented by Tampa General Hospital, including at least four appearances on ABC or ESPN, when the American Athletic Conference announced details for numerous conference games on Thursday.
Kick times are set for USF’s first three games of the season, including a season-opening, Thursday night matchup at NC State on Sept. 2 that will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and be broadcast on the ACC Network.
The Bulls’ home game vs. Florida A&M on Sat., Sept. 18 has been set for a 7:00 p.m. kick and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
USF will return to primetime, national television on Thur., Oct. 28 at ECU, which has been set for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on ESPN in Greenville, N.C.
The Bulls will face defending American Athletic Conference Champion Cincinnati on Fri., Nov. 12 in Raymond James Stadium in a 6:00 p.m. kick on ESPN2. The Bearcats finished No. 8 in the final 2020 season AP Poll after falling late to Georgia (24-21) in the Peach Bowl.
The annual War-on-I4 clash with UCF on Fri., Nov. 26 in Orlando will kick off at either 3:30 or 7:00 p.m. and air on either ABC or ESPN. The exact kick time and broadcast network to be determined later in the season.
USF will play six home games in the 2021 season – five Saturday games and one Friday primetime matchup – and will return to selling tickets for full capacity at 65,857-seat Raymond James Stadium beginning with the home opener vs. Florida.
Single-game football tickets go on sale on July 7. Season tickets and group tickets are available now. The home slate will be highlighted by a pair of teams that finished in the top 15 of the final 2020 season AP Poll – Florida and Cincinnati. USF will play two home games each in September, October and November and four home games against 2020 bowl game participants.
The Bulls return nine starters on offense and 10 on defense as well as their starting kicker.
